How to index a website in Google

Many webmasters don't know how to index the site in Google and other search engines. They start link building even before their site has been indexed in Google. It is very easy to index the site, you need just few minutes to request for indexing your site. For this you must have account on http://www.google.com/webmasters that is Google's Webmasters account.



You can sing up on Google's Webmaster account with you Gmail ID. Once you create your account on Google, open your browser and type the address http://www.google.com/addurl make it sure that you are signed in, in Google's Webmasters account. Once this page opens, you will see an address bar asking to write the URL of your website. And below that you have to write the captcha (any code in a given image). Enter the URL of your website in URL field and captcha in captcha field and press the Submit Request button. Google will give you a message that your request will be processed shortly. Make it sure that your robots.txt file is not blocking the search engines to index the file. That is all you have to do.

How To Ping A Website

If you need to ping the site as well that is also helpful in indexing the sites quickly. You can open the website http://www.pingler.com and enter you website address in URL field and give it a proper title. Select relevant category, enter the captcha and submit. It will take some time to run and ping different services. When you see the message Ping Process complete than you can close the site. And your website will be indexed with in 2 to 3 days.

How To Check Indexed Pages

To check whether your site is indexed or not open www.google.com and write site:www.mysite.com Press enter and you will see some pages of your website. If you see, it means your website is indexed. If you don't see any page, it means your website is not indexed. And if in results it says that robots.txt file is blocking the searching engines to index this site than see your robots.txt file and edit it. In the same way you can index the back-link pages that you have created for your website in search engines.
