How to Add Categories as a Menu in Blogger Blog

Many people want to show a menu on their blogger's blog just like other websites. But they don't find any option as there is nothing like categories in bloggers. They can just add pages which are static in nature and you can't make your new blog posts to appear on pages as these pages are static pages. But you can find a menu in many blogspot blogs where different categories are available in menu, you click on that, and all posts related to that category will appear on page.


In this tutorial, I will guide you how you can create categorized menu in Blogger's blog.

1- First of all, you have to select a label for your related posts. For example, in this blog, I have basically post SEO tips and trick. I have select a label "Learn SEO" and use this label in every post which is related to SEO tips and tricks. In this way you have to select on label for each category. And you must use that label with other labels on each post which belongs to that category, or which you want to show under that category.



2- Open a published post on your blog, you will see labels above or under the post depending on your template style. Click on that particular label which you will use in each post, for example in my case, "learn SEO". When you click on that lable, you will see all the posts which have that label. And URL of that page will be something like this: http://toppagerankings.blogspot.com/search/label/learn%20seo , here at the end of URL, you can see learn%20seo because I have selected "Learn SEO" as my label and %20 is replacement of space in the label.

3- Go to your Blogger Dashboard >>> Pages

4- Click on "New Page".

5- You will find 2 options, i) Blank Page  ii) Web Address

6- Click on "Web Address".

7- It will ask you to enter Page Title and Web Address URL.

8- In page Title write the label or anything you want to show as category name in your menu. And in web address enter the URL which you have find in step 2 by clicking on particular label in a post. In my case, URL was http://toppagerankings.blogspot.com/search/label/learn%20seo

9- Click Save

And its all done. You will see the menu in your blog page.
